“You’ll find that life is still worthwhile if you just smile.”– Charlie Chaplin.

Did you ever fall in love just by seeing someone’s smile? This happens not just in movies but in real life too. Isn’t it? A baby’s smile can make us forget the tiredness of an exhausting day. When we were babies, we smiled for no reason at everyone. We did not bother if it’s a stranger or a family member. We just smiled. And no one taught us to do this. It naturally came to us. But as we grew up, we have all these rules and formalities associated with smiling. Do we really need them? No, we don’t need them because the act of smiling and the feeling of happiness are closely related. Smiling is beneficial for the body, mind, and spirit, and it is therapeutic. The best part is it is totally in our hands and free of cost. Why do we need rules for such a great miracle of life? So, let’s smile freely and generously for no reason. But sometimes, a smile does not come easily. So, what to do? Today, I am excited to share with you 3 tools that helped me, and these can help you as well.

3 tools that can help you smile more

Tool 1 – Meditation

I was a shy and introverted person during my childhood. In my childhood, I did not smile at all towards strangers, and even with people whom I knew to some extent, I was reserved when it came to smiling.

As I got into spirituality and meditated, my shyness reduced. When I meditated, I experienced an inner connection, and this helped me connect better with the people around me. I became more friendly and could empathize with others. Smiling became easy and effortless.

Meditation is a wonderful tool that brings a smile on our face no matter what is happening in our life. Try out meditation and experience it yourself.

Tool 2 – Spending time with family

Spending time with family is a very essential and core part of my life. I noticed that even on a hard day, the moment I see my family, I have this smile on my face. I observed the same in my dad. He might be having a grilling 16-hour workday. But once he is at home, he carries this beautiful and pleasant smile on his face. I never saw my father grumpy or sad or off. I have seen him smile no matter what life brought him. He is someone who knows how to deal with life. He has lived his life through smiles.

We are all deeply connected with our family members, and spending quality time with them makes us happy. So, no matter how busy you are, make time for your family, and don’t miss the chance to smile big with your tribe. Don’t miss enjoying and marveling at the beautiful smiles of your children when they are growing. Those are precious moments that you can never get back again in life.

Tool 3- Consciously make it a part of your life

Sometimes, smiling does not come naturally to us. It needs some effort from our side. It is worth putting in this effort because smiling is an important aspect of our lives. When we smile, even difficult moments in life seem easy to handle. Nothing seems so serious or hard. Our body and mind relax. We find solutions to our problems and become optimistic.

The act of smiling can change a lot of things. When you are going through tough times, try it out. I tried it and experienced that this simple act changes our mood. When our mood changes, our decisions, destiny, and life change. We think big things are needed to transform our lives, but life can be transformed with something as simple as a smile. Don’t underestimate the power of simple things. They hold the profound secrets of life.

Having realized the many benefits of smiling, I made it a habit to smile the moment I wake up. I greet my day with a big smile, and this sets the tone for the rest of the day. This start helps me keep smiling throughout the day. I smile at the birds, breeze, Sun, and the people around me. I greet the Sun, pray, and spend time with my family members with a smile. This small act of smiling is a magic ingredient that boosts my energy levels and keeps me in high spirits.

So, consciously make a smile part of your life. Carry it with you at home, at work, and even when alone. When you walk into a meeting, walk in with a smile, and break the ice. Doing this changes the vibrations of the entire room. Your smile touches other people, and they feel warm. Discussions and communication go well in such a warm environment. So, carry a smile with you wherever you go. It adds magic and charm to your personality.

Even in stressful times, smile because it de-stresses you. If you cannot do it naturally, fake it. This can also bring great benefits and relax you. When you are relaxed, you will have higher chances of finding solutions to the problems bothering you. With a smile, everything becomes easier. It becomes an easy flow – nothing complicated.

Conclusion

Today I shared with you 3 tools that helped me smile more. Feel free to experiment with them and see how your life changes. A smile teaches us that we don’t need to take everything seriously, carrying the burden of the whole world on our shoulders. This is the beauty of it. It simplifies our lives and brings charm. Smile is the essence of life, isn’t it?
